DNA’s experienced baseball instructors work with athletes of all ages to improve upon their technique and understanding of the game. Great focus is given to the player’s physical and mental conditioning, along with proper body mechanics.

Connor Graham – Pitching Instructor
Lance Durham – Baseball Instructor (Hitting, Fielding)
Lance was a first-team all-GCL selection as a junior and a senior at Roger Bacon High School and finished his collegiate career as a Cincinnati Bearcat where his .427 average in 2009 was an all-time best at UC. He also set the single-season record for hits (99), breaking former Bearcat Kevin Youkilis’ record (96) from 1999. Durham signed with the Toronto Blue Jays, which took him in the 14th round of the 2009 draft. Lance spent time in the minor leagues for both the Toronto Blue Jays and Detroit Tigers. Lance has provided lessons for several years and is currently a varsity high school baseball head coach.
Bret Miller – Baseball Instructor (Hitting, Fielding, Pitching)
Bret was a standout high school player and later played for Georgia Tech and Urbana University, where he later served as Assistant Coach for six years. Bret was also the head coach at Springfield Catholic High School and is currently an assistant coach at the high school level. In addition to his college and high school coaching experience, Bret has coached numerous youth baseball teams since 1997 and has instructed and supervised individual, small group, team, and coaches baseball skill clinics since 2003.
Mitch Elliot graduated from Xavier University, where he was selected for the Big East All Tournament team and voted Most Outstanding Player. Since his graduation, Mitch has played professionally for the St. Paul Saints and Normal CornBelters. Other accomplishments include winning a national championship SuperSeries with the Gateway Thunder travel team of St. Louis and being named a Midwest Collegiate League All Star, MVP, batting champion in 2012 while playing summer ball. Mitch specializes in hitting, defense, base-stealing and bunting.
Jacob Bodner – Pitching Instructor
A Xavier University graduate, Jacob was selected in the 27th round of the MLB Draft by the Royals. A native of Danville, Ky., Bodner compiled a 2-0 record across 16 appearances for Burlington and had a 0.77 ERA to go with five saves. In 23.1 innings of work, he struck out 26, allowed just two earned runs and walked only three batters. He finished the season with Idaho Falls in the Pioneer League playoffs, making one save.
In his three-year playing career at XU, Bodner posted a 7-4 record with a 5.02 ERA in 86 innings of work. The right-handed pitcher made 54 appearances with four starts in his career, while posting two saves. He had his best season as a Musketeer during the 2013 season, recording a 6-2 record with a 3.23 ERA in 24 appearances out of the bullpen. He missed the 2014 season with an injury before ending his career with 18 appearances in 2015. Bodner was the first Xavier player taken in the MLB Draft since Vinny Nittoli was selected by the Seattle Mariners in 2014 (25th round, No. 741). Bodner graduated in the spring of 2015 with a degree in business management.
